Roanoke-based Wireless MedCare has signed a joint venture agreement with a Texas company that also includes placing its bed sensor patient monitoring device in senior living facilities being constructed by the Texas company.
The agreement with Senior Homestyle Living is to place Wireless MedCare's Vivatrak in 32 beds and use the joint venture to test new features that can be added to the monitoring system, said Wireless MedCare CEO Dan Wrappe.
Vivatrak is a sensor system that can detect movements in a bed. It is being marketed as a way to monitor patients.
Under the joint venture, Senior Homestyle Living and Wireless MedCare share equal ownership of VivaSense Solutions.
